I am currently a PhD candidate in the Graduate Program of Environmental Science at SUNY - ESF under Dr. Karin Limburg and Dr. Andrea Feldpausch-Parker.
Within the field of environmental science, my concentration is coupled human and natural systems, which is the study of the interactions between society and the environment. I am particularly interested in human impacts to coastal systems, with a focus on habitat restoration and migratory sea-run fish conservation. |
My current research pursuits are transdisciplinary and include promoting the broad participation of stakeholders in environmental decision making. My dissertation seeks to address research gaps in the management of connectivity, which is defined as the migration and interaction of resources (species to stakeholders) across landscapes (social and ecological). With my scholarship, I aim to help inform and support decision making in watersheds that link measures of human well-being and fisheries.
